The first part of the event was about firefighters.
Using a Bridgehill training blanket, they learned how to use a fire blanket, simulating a real-life situation.
After arriving, ISU staff, Gendarmerie staff, managers, inspectors and contractors were able to learn about the latest solutions offered by Distreo.
Bridgehill representatives were also present at the demonstration, who witnessed the fire drill and were able to respond to those interested in Bridgehill fire blankets.
The main topic of the event was the fire of a motor vehicle and its extinguishing using the Bridgehill fire blanket.
Participants were able to see how easily the fire spread from the test car to neighboring cars, specially parked next to the vehicle of interest.
The blanket successfully extinguished the burning vehicle. From a temperature of 1200 °C, the temperature dropped to 200 °C in just 6 minutes! All the smoke and toxic gases were contained under the blanket.
As can be seen in the image, the fire spread to the vehicle on the left, being extinguished when the blanket was placed over it.
Representatives of the national press were also invited to the event. Observatorul and Antena 3 were present, and were able to capture the key moments of the event!
