Photovoltaic Fire Supression Device - SolarSTOP
SOLARSTOP® is an innovative fire suppression device engineered for photovoltaic (solar panel) installations. It extinguishes fire by cooling and lowering the temperature of flammable materials. Because it is also safe on electrical installations, it can even be deployed by firefighters.
The SOLARSTOP® extinguisher holds 19.8 lb (9 kg) of extinguishing agent and is engineered to be discharged from more than 36 feet (11 m) away from the fire.
Stops electricity generation
Beyond its exceptional fire-suppression performance, SOLARSTOP® stays on the surface of the solar panels, forming a durable layer that blocks sunlight and reduces the amount of electricity the array generates.
Once the fire is out, the protective film left behind rinses off easily with water, leaving the solar panels completely unharmed. The panels can be returned to service once any technical issues have been resolved.
Pinpoint accuracy from 33 feet away
SOLARSTOP®'s throw range lets you aim the agent precisely and effectively at the source of a fire. The device can be operated from 33 feet (10 m) away, with no need to approach the flames. It is compact, portable, and easy to use.
