Autonomous aerosol extinguishing device - Flarex
Intelligent protection for confined spaces and sensitive equipment
Flarex is an autonomous extinguishing device based on aerosol technology, designed to intervene quickly in the early stages of a fire and limit the spread of flames in enclosed spaces or technical compartments . The system generates a fine cloud of active particles that inertize the affected area, reducing the temperature and interrupting combustion reactions. Ideal where classic extinguishers are difficult to use or can leave problematic residues.
Why choose Flarex?
- Autonomous – operates independently after installation, for 24/7 protection in unattended spaces.
- Aerosol technology – fast intervention, with minimal residue , without water and without powder.
- Compact & lightweight – easily mounted in panels, housings, technical cabinets or engine compartments.
- Compatible with electrical equipment – suitable for applications where corrosion or deposits must be avoided.
- Low maintenance – designed for long-term reliability with low operating costs.
Recommended for
- Electrical panels , UPS, inverters and distribution cabinets.
- Server racks , IT & telecom equipment.
- Engine compartments – cars, machinery, boats.
- Photovoltaic systems (junction boxes, inverters, batteries).
- Workshops, technical spaces and storage areas with a risk of ignition.
How it works
Upon detection of a significant increase in temperature or upon activation (depending on configuration), the aerosol agent is rapidly released into the protected volume, forming an inert cloud that cools , dilutes oxidants and interrupts combustion reactions . The action occurs within seconds, limiting damage and downtime of equipment.
Installation & use
- Mount firmly inside the protected volume, as close as possible to risk areas (connectors, wiring, sources).
- Follow the manufacturer's guidance and recommendations regarding protected volume and positioning .
- Ensure adequate ventilation after activation and check equipment before restarting.
- Optional integration with signaling/detection, as needed.

Safety & Compliance Notes
- Intended to streamline response to incipient fires in enclosed spaces; does not replace the fire protection plan.
- Predominantly used in unoccupied or occasionally occupied areas; provide pre-discharge warning, system isolation and post-fire ventilation.
- Observe minimum thermal distances from people and sensitive equipment.
- Consult the technical data sheet for correct sizing (application density, protected volume, possible ventilation losses).
